All About People

Need help to resolve your business, personal or employee conflicts & disputes?

Meet Geoffrey

Helping leaders make balanced decisions that strengthen organisations and support their people.

If you ask Geoffrey what he does, he probably won't start by listing job titles or qualifications.

Instead, he'll talk about people.

For more than 30 years, Geoffrey has worked with organisations of all sizes - from SMEs to international businesses, charities, professional bodies and membership organisations - supporting them through periods of growth, uncertainty, conflict and change. He has advised Chief Executives, Boards, senior leaders, managers and employees, helping them navigate complex situations where there isn't always a straightforward answer.

Whether leading international HR functions, advising SMEs, rebuilding organisational cultures, mediating workplace disputes or supporting leadership teams through transformational change, Geoffrey has always believed the best decisions come from understanding the organisation, its people and the challenges it faces. That belief became the foundation of All About People.

More than experience

Experience matters.

Over the course of his career, Geoffrey has held senior HR and Executive Director positions, advised Boards, led organisational change programmes and helped shape people strategies across international organisations, SMEs, professional bodies, charities and membership organisations.

Having worked with organisations of all sizes, Geoffrey understands that every organisation is different. The challenges may be similar, but the right solutions are always shaped by the organisation's people, culture and objectives.

His experience includes supporting organisations through mergers, restructures, governance reviews, executive appointments, business transformation and cultural change across a wide range of sectors.

Yet Geoffrey believes experience alone isn't enough.

Organisations rarely need someone to simply tell them what the policy says. They need someone who will listen, understand the wider context, ask thoughtful questions and help them make decisions that are right for their people, their culture and their future.

A lifelong interest in people and organisations

Throughout his career, Geoffrey has always been interested in what makes organisations successful and why people think, behave and lead the way they do.

That interest has taken him beyond traditional HR into mediation, conflict management, organisational development, executive coaching and governance. It also continues through his work as a lecturer in ethics, where he encourages future leaders to think critically about the decisions they make, the reasons behind them and the impact they have on people, organisations and society.

For Geoffrey, leadership isn't simply about authority. It's about understanding people, balancing different perspectives and making thoughtful decisions that enable both organisations and the people within them to succeed.

Looking beyond the immediate problem

Throughout his career, Geoffrey has learnt that workplace issues are rarely about a single event.

A disagreement may begin with communication, but often reflects trust.

Poor performance may be linked to uncertainty rather than capability.

Conflict may be the symptom rather than the cause.

This ability to look beyond the immediate issue allows Geoffrey to help organisations find solutions that are practical, sustainable and centred on people rather than process alone.

Inspired by ideas

Outside of his consultancy work, Geoffrey has a lifelong interest in opera, classical music, history and lifelong learning.

He is particularly drawn to the operas of Philip Glass, whose works explore influential figures such as Einstein, Gandhi and Akhnaten through themes of leadership, ethics and humanity.

For Geoffrey, these interests are not separate from his work.

They reinforce it.

They encourage reflection, challenge assumptions and remind us that the most complex decisions are often those involving people.

His writing regularly explores these connections, using experiences from music, travel and everyday life to reflect on leadership, resilience and collaborative problem-solving. As Geoffrey often demonstrates, valuable lessons are rarely confined to the workplace.

Calm thinking in complex situations

Clients often describe Geoffrey as thoughtful, balanced and approachable.

He is known for listening carefully, remaining calm under pressure and bringing an independent perspective to difficult situations.

Rather than offering quick answers, Geoffrey creates the space for leaders and organisations to think differently, explore options and make decisions they can stand behind with confidence.

It is an approach built on trust, respect and many years of practical experience.

Why All About People?

The name wasn't chosen by accident.

It reflects everything Geoffrey has learnt throughout his career.

Policies matter.

Processes matter.

Strategy matters.

Successful organisations are built by balancing the needs of the business with the needs of the people who make it successful. When leaders invest in relationships, communicate openly, act ethically and make decisions with integrity, organisations become stronger, healthier and better equipped to face whatever comes next.

That philosophy sits at the heart of every conversation Geoffrey has through All About People.

I've always believed that some of life's best lessons come from outside the workplace. Whether through music, teaching or mediation, I'm continually reminded that the way we respond to unexpected challenges often matters more than the challenge itself.

Beyond the office

Away from client work, Geoffrey enjoys opera, classical music, history and discovering the stories behind influential leaders and cultures.

He continues to lecture on ethics, mentor future leaders and write regularly through the All About People Insights blog, sharing reflections on leadership, conflict, organisational life and the lessons we can learn from the world around us.

Because for Geoffrey, learning never stops.

Neither should curiosity.
